JULIA'S STORY
Passion Driven . Dream Chasing

Beyond the Court
Julia's volleyball journey took an exciting turn when she made the switch from indoor to beach volleyball during her college years. Representing the Tar Heels at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, she had a promising career ahead. However, a series of concussions prompted her to make a courageous decision: she transitioned to beach volleyball and transferred to the University of Hawaii to finish her undergraduate studies.

With two years of eligibility remaining, Julia embarked on a new chapter at the University of Southern California for her graduate studies. There, she left an indelible mark on the volleyball court, earning the prestigious titles of All-American and back-to-back National Champion.

Julia's journey continued to unfold with remarkable achievements. In a stunning debut on the Tour, she and Geena Urango clinched victory at the Atlanta Gold Series. The following year, Julia's outstanding performance earned her the well-deserved title of 2022 Rookie of the Year and 2023 AVP Most Improved Player of the Year. Julia was also named an Olympic Alternate for Team USA for the Paris 2024 games. As she embarks on this new chapter, Julia is excited to continue to represent Team USA on the international stage and is passionate about opportunity to be a member of the LA28 Team USA Olympic Team.

Outside the world of volleyball, Julia cherishes her time spent with friends, family, and her church community. She finds joy in embracing the great outdoors, whether it's pedaling through scenic trails or indulging in her passion for cooking. Julia's creativity finds expression in pottery, where she shapes clay into works of art. And during moments of reflection, she draws inspiration from the wisdom of the Bible, finding comfort in its timeless teachings while enjoying a comforting cup of coffee.
